54cm x 38cm. Huge leaf from a Gradual with a beautiful illuminated large initial ‘G’ in gold leaf, pink, blue and green. Probably Siena or perhaps Florence written about 1500 on parchment. Text in red, blue and black ink with musical staves. This leaf is from the same as that in Sotheby’s 2 December 2014, Lot 21 and Bloomsbury, 8 July 2015, Lot 81. This leaf is newly discovered from that same gradual. From a small European private collection.
