Description
Single leaf, text in 23 lines of a tall high-grade English bookhand (with part of Psalm 118), showing great lateral compression, one-line initials in gold on dark pink and blue grounds with occasional white brushstrokes, linefillers in same with gold bezants, shapes and on one occasion a paraph mark, two larger initials on each side in same, but with long fleshy coloured tendrils curling far into the margins
and ending in sprays of oak, ivy and other leaves.
Condition
Trimmed at edges with losses to extremities of decorations in margins, bottom outer corner either trimmed away or fallen away, small spots and stains.
